Touring Budapest
Budapest is made up of two towns. - Buda and Pest We're in Pest, which is better for eating. People say the Buda side is better to live.
Here are some of the things we did (I'm tired and need to go to sleep!):
We visited one of the Ruin Bars. - Zsampla bar They're in the old Jewish quarter and make use of old buildings decorated with junk.
Also checked out some of the sites we visited during our night ride:
Rode around Margaret Island where there are some ancient ruins.
Checked out the markets, where chillies and peppers seem to be the main things on sale.
We rode up Buda hill to see the view of Pest from the Citadel.
Saw some beautiful gardens up there
There's a monument on top of the hill - Liberty Tower.
Visited a controversial monument supposed to represent the oppression by the Germans but Jews and other Hungarians say it glorifies Germany and was put up by the current Hungarian Government without the peoples approval
