A day in Gdansk
Sunday Aug 7.
Gdansk. Ride from campsite. 9km.
Total 1198km.
All the trains out of Gdansk to Berlin were fully booked so we had to spend the day in Gdansk.
Beautiful old city - the home of Lech Walesa and where the first shots of WW2 began.
Tried lots of the local food. Peroji, cow fat on bread with onion and pickles
Part of the huge festival.
Had a really nice meal. Beetroot soup with dumplings and Dermot had pork hock cooked in beer.
