My cassette freewheel is starting to make lots of noise, so visited the local bike shop in Sobeslav before we headed off. They couldn't help.

Rode along undulating farmland and forest on quiet roads. Delightful.

Checked out a few more bike shops and after a couple of hours found a place where he pulled the freewheel apart, replaced some bearings, dried out some water, regreased it and now it seems to be OK.
Found another nice pension in Nova Bystrice for the night.
