Nova Bystrice to Lesna via Austria

Tuesday August 23.
Nova Bystrice to Lesna.  83km. Total 1994km

Fabulous day of riding.  Had planned a 90km day so got going early.  The problem was that there were too many places to stop and take photos and have a look.

We were travelling along the Czech/Austrian border where there are lots of bunkers from when the Czechs were trying to keep the Germans out - the Maginot line

Had a break in Slavonice.  Yet another lovely town.
This building was being used for as a filmset

We came across lots more of the bunkers along the way.

This guy, Johann Georg Grasel was some villain in the past.
We then took a small detour into Austria to go into country No 11.

Came across this amazing castle in Vranov nad Dyji.  It was at the top of a huge descent into the town below. Only problem was that we then had to climb out the other side.

Then came across a resort town full of czech tourists on a lake just beyond the town.

Stopped a bit short of our planned destination as it was getting late.  Had nothing to do with it being a motor cycle museum haha.
