Obzor to Nessebar then onto Burgass

Wednesday Sept 28
Obzor to Nessebar 35km  Total 3377km

Couldn't resist a swim in the Black Sea this morning.  It looked so beautiful and was very refreshing.  Cold to get in, but once in was great.

We took a while to decide which way to go today.  There was an option away from the highway, but wasn't recommended if there'd been rain recently.  Apparently it bucketed down the other night so we decided against it.  It meant riding on the highway again.  Lots of climbing - up to over 400m from the coast.

Finally a huge descent into Nessebar.  What a place.  Gold Coast on steroids even though summer is over.  Would hate to see it in summer.

On the way out we saw a taxi that looked like it would fit out bikes.  Riding into Burgas wasn't too appealing as another big city.  Eventually got the driver to Euro 35 - about 50AUD and decided to go for it.  Was a bit of a squeeze for the bikes.

It meant that we got into Burgas at a reasonable time.  Time to celebrate the end of the Iron Curtain - we'll get a bus to Istanbul tomorrow.
Enjoying the G&T and Beer
