Jupiter Romania to Balgarevo Bulgaria

Sunday Sept 25
Jupiter Romania to Balgarevo Bulgaria 72km  Total 3186km

Our hosts Vali and Nelo for our last night on Romania were so nice.  We've met such wonderful people in Romania.

Sunday was a good day to be on the roads.  Nice and quiet to the border. Had another bridge crossing on the way and got to see some of the Romanian Navy.

We stopped in Vama Veche to spend the last of our Romanian Lei.  Found a really funky coffee stop.

Cheesecake and coffee
Dipped my hand in the Black Sea.
There's a person swimming in this photo.  The water was reasonably warm

Some graffiti on the way out of Vama Veche
There was a big line of cars at the border, but we could ride straight to the front of the queue and it only took about 10 mins.

After the border there was almost no traffic for about 20km then we headed off the highway to the coast.  Not a great road surface - lots of holes, but very few cars.  We passed small oil pumping devices along the way, but didn't get a photo.  The young guy from our pension says they're privately owned and the country is being screwed by the EU.

Found a place on google maps in Balgarevo that had good reviews - Levana Guest House.  Turned out to be a really lovely place.
