Marisel to Cluj 56km Total 2483km
We stayed at Cabana Motilor last night. Great place in the alps. I'd give it 5 stars. Another couple there from Germany was on a 5 day donkey trek - sounded like an interesting thing to do. Walk, but with the donkey carrying your load.
I was anticipating a beautiful descent today, as we were still up at about 1300m. Well it was a great descent except that it was on a rocky gravel road where we could only manage about 10kph. Eventually got to the valley floor, still at about 600m, but asphalt. Very wearing on the hands and took lots of concentration.
Riding into Cluj (Cluj Napoca) was challenging. The bikemap route wanted to avoid the highway, but it meant doing about an extra 30km, so we headed down the main road. The vehicles were all pretty good though. Eventually got to our nice airBnB on the east side of Cluj.
