Brasov to Bucharest

We arrived at the bus station at 8.30 hoping to get the 9am bus, but it was a little one.  Waited around for the 11am and finally got onto it.  The bikes only just fitted underneath.

Lots of traffic on the road so took about 4 hours to get to Bucharest.  Some beautiful scenery before we hit the flat plains.

Took a while to find a hotel in the city but ended up with a great one right in the centre of the old town.

Could be Paris

Lucked in on a music festival - first off a concert with a brass band, then the Vienna Symphony.

The hotel restaurant is on the 9th floor, so had a great view looking out over the square where the 1989 revolution took place and they deposed (and then executed) Ceaucescu.
