Cartisoura to Sinca Veche 56km Total 2834km
Today was a bit difficult to plan for. 56km was a bit short, but we'd have probably had to ride another 30km to find more accommodation.
We spent most of the day riding parallel to the mountains.
Came across this church along the way. Also a memorial to lives lost in the first and second WW.
We've seen these signs along the way and finally found out the translation. It's pronounced like droom boon (the oo like in spoon) and means good road, which I think can be interpreted as have a good journey.
We arrived in Sinca Veche about 1pm and had already lined up a pension. We were hoping for good internet so that we could do some planning for the next couple of weeks, but unfortunately it was too slow. Most the time the internet in Romania has been really good.
We wandered into the centre of this very small town. Bought some spray on deoderant to hopefully deter dogs if we come across them again. At least they'll smell nice after it.
Then watched some guys playing ten pin bowling at the local drinking place.
The owner of the pension doesn't speak any English, but we manged to work out that she's making some blueberry spirit as well as some using grapes. She gave us a taste. Very nice.
