Makrigialos to Kokkino Nero

To Kokkono Nero Makrigialos  88km Total 3627km 

Beautiful blue sky day. Headed out from Makrigialos along a dirt road. All fine until we hit a muddy ford. I went the hard way and almost got stuck in ankle deep mud.

Spent a lot of the day on a road parallel to the freeway with Mt Olympus in the background.

Once again, lots of kiwi fruit and cotton farming along the way.

The first 60km was relatively flat, but then we hit a very steep uphill.  Over 10%.  At the top was a castle - the first one we've seen in Greece.

Down the other side and along the coast.

Then lots of undulations, eventually arriving in the quiet sleepy town of Kokkono Nero.  Not much open, but managed to find a place to stay.  Haven't got much cash left and no ATM, so they gave us a nice feed as well, all for 50 Euro, including some wine and Ouzo.
