If words look a bit odd in this blog it's Because it keeps Translating into Norwegian !!
Day 1 riding - Oslo to Fredrikstad. 113km. Total distance 113km
Knut came by at 9am and off we went. Light rain to begin but it cleared fairly quickly.
We headed out through the center of town.
The riding was superb. Norway has an amazing network of bike trails with beautiful smooth surfaces. Cars stop for You When You want to cross the road and are patient with passing. In doubtthat road rage exists here. Bikes are Respected!
We rode from Oslo to Fredrikstad. 112km, heading south down the Oslo fjord. Passed through Ski - found a great little cafe for morning tea, then on to the Son on the coast for lunch, through Moss then finally arrived in Fredrikstad after 7 hours of riding. We had to cross the Largest river in Oslo - via a free bicycle ferry.
Camped at the local caravan park, and given the hour of the day, headed out for a bite to eat.
