Rest days in Stockholm

Rest days in Stockholm. July 20-22.

Wednesday July 20 - caught the underground into Stockholm from Akalla. About a 30min trip.

Checked out a nice coffee shop That Tommy recommended - Petit France then had a long walk to a bicycle shop overpriced That he recommended, looking for some chain cleaner. The guy in the shop recommended That we just buy some from a garage so Decided To Give That a go.
headed back to Akalla, then went off on the bikes looking for a garage solar That degreaser. Impossible to find, but did come across another bike shop, so Bought some there. Then found a garage with a car wash and managed to clean the bikes.

Caught Trains and buses out to Drott Hastings Park (the Queens palace) for a quick look - did not get there til about 9pm.

Thursday July 21st
Another trip to Petit France first thing. I've worked out Stockholm's public transport now, so a bit less walking today. Visited the Vasa Ship Museum. This was a mighty ship built in the 1600's that sank on it's maiden voyage about 1km into the trip, and was only raised from the harbor floor in the 1960s.

Friday July 22nd
Packed all our gear to leave at the Airbnb So THAT We were only taking a day pack to St. Petersburg. A quick trip to Petit France again - they have nice coffee and food. Then went by local train and bus out to Arlanda - Could get there on our public transport ticket. Apparently using the airport bus, it is taxed, but the local transport is not.

Dermot found the Indian breakfasts a bit of a challenge!
