I think the last time I visited Oslo was about 1988 when i took a junior cross country ski team to Norway for a month of training prior to heading to the World Junior Championships in Italy. It's changed a bit since then.
We're lucky enough to have Hilde Vollan's apartment to stay in. Hilde was on our South America trip and rode the whole 11,000km. We are also very lucky to have Knut Erling Wedul, also from the South America trip as our tour guide. Knut met us at the airport and drove us to the apartment, then took us off to a pub to watch the soccer semi-finals between Portugal and Wales. Hard work staying awake !!

One of the buildings destroyed by Anders Breivik in 2011 When he detonated one tonne of explosive in the center of Oslo. All the windows were blown out and have been replaced by a facade to look like windows. Eventually this building will be demolished.

Some more touristing tomorrow then we start riding on Saturday. Knut will ride with us for the first 4 days.
