Rest days in Skovde

Wednesday 13 July.
Tommy took us for a walk in the area next to Their house. There's a small ski field very close by with a chairlift and a poma. Beautiful forest with blueberries nearly ripe and ready for picking.

Spent the afternoon getting a bike tool for Dermot, and ground sheet, and some goop for the tyres.

Thur 14 July
Headed off sight seeing with the whole family.  First to a place that was built early in the 19th century by Sweden as an alternative capital if Stockholm was invaded. Then to the army area where Tommy works.  Lots of old buildings but the facilities are still being used, as well as being available to tourists.
Part of the army facilities in the background, and Swedish beach.
Next was Tivedens National Park.  Went on a delightful 5km walk around to where Linn, Melker and Elias had a BBQ lunch ready for us.  Picked blueberries along the way.

Then checked our Karlsborg and the bridge opening on the Gotta Canal.

Called past a little fishing village to by some freshly smoked trout and salmon for dinner.
