Our last day of touring on Naxos

Wednesday Nov 2
Naxos

Today the sun was shining and the wind had dropped.  Still only 17 deg though.

We went and had coffee with Aase and Frode in their apartment then headed off sight seeing again.

Agios Nikolaos church

Temple of Demeter

The temple has been rebuilt, but it's still very impressive

Next we went to Damalas to a pottery shop where I managed to buy some bird whistles.  The town has also renovated the olive pressing facilities as a bit of a museum.

After lunch in Chalki, we went to the marble village of Aperanthos.  Lots of the streets are laid with marble!

Today the air was so clear and the sky so blue.  The scenery was stunning.
Check out the church on top of the hill!

The Agean sea in the distance

An almost good panorama.  The phone doesn't quite stitch it!

This is where we're going

Once back in Naxos, we headed down the the port to see a stunning sunset.  A nice way to finish our last day on Naxos.

The moon nearly setting
Tonight, our AirBnB host, Stavros, is putting on a BBQ for us.
