Climbing Mt Zeus

Tuesday November 1
Naxos

Yesterday was raining most the day, so we didn't get up to much.  Today is fine but windy again.
We hired another scooter for our 2 remaining days and headed inland to climb Mt Zeus.

It's a 1,000+m mountain.

There's a cave about 30min along the trail so we went exploring but our lights weren't really strong enough to go too far.

The climb up Mt Zeus took a couple of hours and was pretty steep in spots.  Magnificent views though.
Looking down the valley we'd just climbed up

It was cold and very windy.  If you could get a sheltered spot in the sun it was delightful.

In the evening we went back to our usual restaurant and caught up with our Norwegian friends.
